Clovelly is probably the most picture village in Devon. It's privately owned by the Rous family, who have been taking care of it since 1738. The village is famous for its steep cobbled streets and traditional architecture, which make it a popular tourist destination. You won't find any cars here, so deliveries are made by sledges and donkeys used to be the main mode of transportation. The village has a rich history, with evidence of human habitation dating back to the Iron Age. Today, visitors can explore the village's museums, gardens, and enjoy the annual Lobster and Crab festival. It's a unique place that feels like stepping back in time. Admission is £8.75 for adults, £5.10 for children (aged 7-16) and those under 7 are free. Dogs are welcome.
