This is one of my go to trails if you’re looking for something relatively easy to walk the dogs or catch up with family.

The trail takes you through Bellever Forest and up along the slopes of Bellever Tor in Dartmoor National Park.

You could park and start the trail from the Dartmoor National Park Visitor Centre in Postbridge, but you have to pay for parking here. If you go slightly beyond the visit center, take the left at the sign for Bellever Forest and then an immediate right, there will be a free car park you can use.

Upon leaving this car park on foot, take right and follow the path towards Believer Tor, which offers some absolutely stunning views of the surrounding Dartmoor landscape and Believer Forest for those interested in heading up to the summit. Head down the slope and through the forest to return to the car park. The route is easy to follow and dog friendly. It's a great trail to do with the whole family as it is suitable for all ages and a wide range of fitness levels.
