Berry Pomeroy Castle is a romantic ruin tucked away in a wooded valley in Devon. Originally built by the Pomeroy family in the 15th century and later expanded by the Seymours, the castle was meant to be a grand Elizabethan mansion but was left unfinished. With its picturesque setting, the castle became a popular spot for artists and sightseers in the 18th century, sparking tales of hauntings and ghostly apparitions. Visitors can now explore the ruins, listen to spooky stories on the audio tour, and enjoy woodland walks with their furry friends.
