Cavallo Point Lodge
Hotel
Directions

Cavallo Point Lodge is one of my favorite hotels in the Bay Area. Especially if you want sweeping views of the Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco skyline, and Marin Headlands. Located within walking distance of the Golden Gate Bridge in Sausalito, this luxury lodge combines restored historic military buildings with modern design, accommodations, and views.

You'll get amazing sunsets from the property’s outdoor terraces and firepits. Whether you’re sipping a drink with the bridge glowing red in the evening, or waking up to fog drifting over the Bay, the setting here is truly magical. There’s an on-site spa offering signature Bay-inspired treatments, a fitness center, and a selection of well-appointed meeting and event spaces if you’re traveling for work or a special occasion.

Location is a huge perk. You’re a quick bike ride from Sausalito’s waterfront, cafés, galleries, and boutique shops. You can also easily hop on a ferry across the Bay to San Francisco, or explore nearby coastal trails like the Marin Headlands and Battery Spencer for classic views of the bridge from above.

I highly recommend you grab one of their bikes and go for a scenic ride over the Golden Gate Bridge or up into the Marin Headlands. Cavallo Point is ideal for couples, special occasions, and anyone who wants a luxurious base with world-class vistas without the hustle of the city.
