SCP Mendocino Inn and Farm is one of my favorite places to stay on the California Coast. Many rooms feature cozy fireplaces and big views of the Pacific or the gardens. So whether you’re unwinding after a hike or cozying up with a book, it’s easy to just be here.

You are welcome to interact with the animals, too! They have a ton of chickens and 3 llamas, which are the most adorable things you'll ever see. If you want to have a good laugh, grab some chicken feed at the front desk, head into the coup, and watch them all rush over to you at the same time. It's hilarious!

Another great perk of staying here is its central location. You can literally walk from your room to Van Damme State Beach and the Fern Canyon trail, which makes morning hikes or beach strolls effortless. That walkable access to nature means you can spend your days exploring and your evenings relaxing without having to move your car.
