The Narrows is one of Zion's signature hikes for a reason. Expect to spend hours walking in the river, navigating slippery rocks, and stopping constantly to admire the canyon walls. Buying neoprene socks made a huge difference in my comfort, and I found trail runners worked perfectly for the entire hike.
