This place is such a hidden find, I stumbled across Lamorna Pottery a few years back while I was bumbling around the UK on my dads's motorcycle!

Lamorna Pottery dates back to the 1920s and was originally founded by Ella Naper and Kate Westrup. It has since been passed down through various owners who have added their own unique touches to the place and is currently run by Potter Jeremy Chapman.

There's a craft shop, a bed & breakfast, and an inviting garden cafe which always has a few vegan-friendly options.

B&B & Dinner Tip

  • I would recommend making your booking on the phone (emails are rarely responded to), this way you can mention to Jeremy that you are a vegan hiker so that he knows for your breakfast the next morning

  • Check this with Jeremy, but when I made my booking, he asked that the latest I arrive was 5 pm so you'll need to plan your day accordingly

  • If you choose your evening meal from the pottery cafe on arrival, Jeremy will bring it up to your room at 7 pm. I had a delicious vegan dhal with rice and a huge slab of cake; it was amazing! Please note, 7 pm is the latest Jeremy will bring dinner up to your room.
