If you’ve made it to Penzance, you’ve earned yourself a visit to the Admiral Benbow, it’s one of my favourite post-hike spots for a celebratory drink.

This quirky old pub is full of character, with ship lanterns, maritime oddities, and low-beamed ceilings that make you feel like you've stepped into a smuggler’s hideout (which, according to local legend, you kind of have!).

The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and it's the perfect place to grab a drink, rest, your legs, and soak up some local history after a week on the coast path.

Traveller Tip

  • This place is great for a drink but I don't rate it for vegan food, there are plent of other spots for dinner
