Established in 1727, 八百三 is a Kyoto shop famous for its Yuzu Miso. This traditional recipe has been handed down for generations. Inspired by the tastes of tea, master Sen no Rikyu (the founder) crafted this special Yuzu Miso, which is still loved today.

Miso is available either on its own or in beautifully crafted yuzu-shaped jars. These jars, designed to resemble the citrus fruit, are more expensive, with the smallest starting at around 2,900 yen.

You can enjoy Yuzu Miso with any vegetables as a dipping sauce. It’s also amazing with fish or as a topping for onigiri or mochi. Think of it as a seasoning that adds a special touch to any dish!
