Message from Kieran - Exploring Scotland

The Scottish Dark Sky Observatory was a cool spot for stargazing located near Loch Doon in Scotland. It opened in 2012 and even had a planetarium added in 2017. People of all ages could visit to learn about astronomy and space. Sadly, it got hit by a suspicious fire in 2021 and won't be rebuilt on the same site. It was a popular place for star enthusiasts and visitors looking to experience the wonders of the night sky.
