What to order
We ordered the ham & cheese pastry, gianduja croissant and strawberry Danish. They’re also famous for their naturally fermented sourdough bread, so it’s worth picking up a loaf if there’s any left.
Why it’s here
Owned by Vasco Coelho Santos, the chef behind one of Porto’s top restaurants, Euskalduna Studio, Ogi has quickly become one of the city’s standout artisan bakeries. Everything is made with incredible attention to detail. It was recommended to us by a couple of locals in the hospitality industry in Porto.
Tip
Don’t make the same mistake we did and leave it too late. We arrived late morning on our first visit and most of the pastries and bread had already sold out, so we went back earlier another day. Grab your pastries to go and enjoy them in nearby Jardim Marques de Oliveira (oldest romantic park in Porto), just a 5-minute walk away.
