What to order
We ordered the grilled sardines, sea bream, clams and a squid & prawn skewer, all cooked over charcoal. If you see a fresh catch of the day on the menu, we’d recommend trying that too.
Why it’s here
This was the most authentic local experience we had in Porto. Set in the fishing village of Afurada, it’s a no-frills seafood restaurant where locals come for perfectly grilled fish, generous portions and a relaxed atmosphere.
Tip
Pair your meal with a bottle of Vinho Verde and don’t skip the coffee afterwards. If you’re visiting in late July or early August, check they’re open first, as they close for their annual summer holidays before the Afurada St. Peter’s celebrations.
