Sidney Spit is a bit of a hidden gem near Victoria. It is located on the north end of Sidney Island and is in the Gulf Islands National Park Reserve and managed by Parks Canada.

This is quite a unique spot as the north end of the island narrows out into a massive stretch of sandy beach. It feels like you are on a Caribbean island!

This is only accessible by boat. You can take your own or get on a 30 minute water taxi from Sidney during the summer months.

There are no cars, roads, water, food or any amenities or services on the island. You need to bring over all of your own water and food.

There is also a campground here with 27 campsites and some pit toilets, but no other services. Reservations are required and can be made at reservation.pc.gc.ca
