I've said it many times before, but Juan de Fuca Provincial Park is our favourite place on Vancouver Island!

The landscape is so unique, it has a rugged beauty, and it's remote and wild vibe hits just right.

Many of the beaches in this park are accessible as day trips. Or you can challenge yourself to the 47 km Juan de Fuca Marine Trail.

This is a multi-day, challenging backpacking trip and one you will remember forever.

The trail follows the west coastline and is a very rough and steep terrain but offers you stunning ocean views, incredible beach campsites and some of the most amazing waterfalls I have ever seen.

This hike is a bit easier to plan than the West Coast Trail. That is because it has no reservation or permit system, you just pay at the trailhead. And because it is a much shorter hike with most people taking 3 days to complete it.

There is a lot to plan and prepare for before undertaking this hike, so make sure to research it thoroughly!

AllTrails hike linked here.

If you aren't able to do this full hike, make sure to make a road trip out here and stop at Botanical Beach, Sombrio Beach and Mystic Beach.
