A peaceful and cozy camp site with toilet facilities, hot and cold running water and electricity. There is also a washing machine, tumbel dryer and a shower. A short distance to many activities. There are two football fields next to the camp site and only about 250 meters walk to the swimming pool. The swimming pool is 25 x 12,5 meters with a hot tub and a childrens pool. The childrens pool is a bit warmer with a small waterslider for the smallest guests. There is also a large trampoline for children.

A tourist information center is in the village where they provide all information on activities, walking paths, services, museums, churches and much more.

The camp sites in the town Sauðárkrókur, Hofsós, Varmahlíð and at Hólar are operated together. It is possible to stay the first night in one of these camp sites and pay less during the next night in some of the other camp sites. It is necessary to provide a receipt from the first camp site.
