The Fimmvörðuháls Trailhead Park is a one-of-a-kind day hike experience that traverses three distinct landscapes in Icelad. Starting in the park at the foot of the Skógafoss waterfall, visitors take a long series of steps that bring them to the top of Skógafoss and begin their day of exploration. As they make their way up the trail, they will be filled with a sense of awe as they pass 25 more waterfalls along the Skógá River. The journey then takes them through a barren landscape to the Fimmvörðuhás Pass, where they ascend between the Eyjafjallajökull and Mýrdalsjökull glaciers. After a breathtaking walk across Godaland, hikers eventually descend into the Thórsmörk Valley, an area of lush green moss and forests.
