Ounasvaara is the recreational area of Rovaniemi. Here you can find an outdoor gym, mountain bike trails, frisbee golf, hiking trails, viewpoints that take you to the top of the ski slope, fireplaces, cross country ski trails,... basically endless activities within a 15 minute walking distance from the city.

The trail is always in great condition, it is maintained in winter. The view tower gives you a nice look out to the city.

• Keep dogs on leash, there are reindeer in the area.

• Great place for berry picking.
