The official home of Christmas, a place where the festive spirit is alive every single day of the year! Here at the Arctic Circle, you can meet Santa Claus himself and his cheerful elves in his office. Don't forget to send a postcard home from Santa's Main Post Office with a special Arctic Circle postmark. The whole village is a magical collection of charming shops, restaurants, and activities like reindeer and husky rides, making it a truly unforgettable experience.

During December it can get pretty crowded, be aware of the long waiting times to visit Santa Claus. You can find his visiting hours on the website.

During summer you can still visit the huskies and reindeer, but there are no sleigh rides available. For an authentic local experience, I would recommend different places for these. For example a family owned reindeer farm that earns its living from this lifestyle.

NOTE

  • The area is free to visit 24/7.

  • Shops, restaurants, main post office, activities,... have their own opening times and are not free.

  • Meeting Santa himself is free, but a photo is not since you are not allowed to use your own mobile device or camera.
