If you're in search of a luxurious bamboo home surrounded by serene natural beauty, Laputa located on a hill in Sidemen is a fantastic option. I was amazed by the panoramic view from the hilltop, including Mount Agung, the town below, and the ocean. The home can accommodate up to 4 guests and features multiple areas for relaxation, including an upstairs area where you can lounge in hanging nets and enjoy the stars at night. The staff is easily accessible through a walkie-talkie in case you need anything.

They have a total of two villas that offer slightly different experiences, we stayed in Villa #1 and loved it. The other villa has a private pool, which looks fantastic as well.

Please note that the villa is open-style and may not be suitable for everyone. However, unlike other places I have stayed, Laputa is equipped with mosquito nets, doors for the rooms, and blinds that can be lowered at night to reduce the number of bugs. While you may encounter some bugs in the living room, our bedroom was bug-free.
