Welcome to Playa Grande, a vast and beautiful stretch of sand that offers a more tranquil vibe than its bustling neighbor, Tamarindo. This spot is a surfer's paradise, with consistent waves suitable for both beginners and seasoned pros. If you're not a surfer, you'll love the long, peaceful walks, especially at sunset when the sky puts on a spectacular show. The beach is part of the Las Baulas National Marine Park, so it has a wonderfully untouched feel. From the southern end, a small trail through the bush will lead you to the beach in about a 10 to 15-minute walk.
