If you're looking for a scenic drive with water access for your dog, check out Onion Creek. This is a scenic backroad drive near Moab located off of Utah Scenic Byaway 128. The road begins beyond the Upper Onion Creek Campground and cuts directly through a red sandstone canyon as it winds its way up to Fisher Valley on the backside. This is definitely one of my favorite scenic drives in the Moab area. The road crosses the creek a number of times, so a high-clearance vehicle is required.

There are a handful of places where you can park your vehicle and get out and explore in the creek, which makes the drive a good activity to do during the summer.
