Directions

Utah State Route 128, also known as the Upper Colorado River Scenic Byway, is a 44.6-mile stretch of road north of Moab that offers stunning views of the Colorado River. This is easily my favorite scenic drive in Moab with plenty of things for you to see and do along the way with your dog.

If you're driving into Moab from Colorado, get off I-70 at exit 204 to take Highway 128 into Moab. Camping along Highway 128 is restricted in developed campgrounds. These fill up quickly during peak travel season (springs + fall), so come with a backup plan.
