The Ida Gulch Equestrian Trail area one of the best places to take photos in Moab, and since it's BLM land it's also dog-friendly. The trails weave along the base of Pariott Mesa with views of The Rectory, Mother Superior, and Castleton Town. There are already a lot of trails in the area, so stay on existing trails or in the washes to avoid disrupting the cryptobiotic soil in the area. I recommend coming at sunset to enjoy the alpenglow on the rock walls.
