Mirador de Chipeque is a small roadside viewpoint on the slopes of Teide that gives sweeping views over the Orotava Valley, the north coast and the volcanic landscape, so it’s a perfect quick photo stop if you are driving through Teide National Park. There is limited parking and only a short walk to the platform, but no facilities, so dress in layers, bring water and sun protection, and expect wind and noticeably colder temperatures than on the coast; altitude can make you breathless and roads may close with snow in winter, so check conditions before you go. Aim for early morning or late afternoon for the best light, and consider it as a brief stop on a Teide loop or a short stargazing spot after dark.
