Grove of some of NZs tallest Kauris

Located near the charming town of Coromandel Town, Waiau Kauri Grove is a stunning collection of some of the oldest trees in New Zealand. Visitors can take an easy two-minute stroll from the 309 Road to the base of these majestic giant kauri trees or do a longer 30-minute walk along the boardwalk paths and footbridges that meander through the grove. This unique spot is perfect for nature lovers who want to get closer to nature, and be sure to use the wash stations to prevent contamination of these ancient natural taonga. For an added bonus, explore the area further beyond Waiau Falls as the track continues upstream and downstream of the falls, making Waiau Kauri Grove a must-see location for any adventure seeker.
