Slope Point is an iconic spot located at the southernmost point of the South Island of New Zealand. Here, visitors can take in spectacular clifftop views and explore the beautiful Catlins region. It's a wild and wonderful place, with tranquil deserted beaches, wildlife and waterfalls to discover. Driving to Slope Point is easy - simply follow the gravel road near Curio Bay for a short 10 minute journey. Upon arriving, visitors will find a little lighthouse-like structure and a sign pointing to the Equator and South Pole. Spending time here is a great way to experience the authentic beauty of the South Island and say you've made it to the Southernmost Spot on the South Island!
