My favourite walk in Tongariro national park in any season. Epic views of the mountains and an easy 3 hours return.

Further information: Taranaki Falls is a invigorating and exciting walk located in Tongariro National Park and Whakapapa Village in the Central North Island region. The 6km loop takes approximately two hours, offering stunning mountain views and a wide variety of landscapes to explore along the way. You can enjoy the native birds, lush forests, cascading waterfalls and even some of the historic layers of ash from previous volcanic eruptions! The track begins 100 meters below the Tongariro National Park Visitor Centre and rewards those willing to adventure with unique sights and experiences that will stay with you for a lifetime.
