New Zealand’s most famous tree, affectionately dubbed “That Wanaka Tree.”

This iconic willow has become one of the country’s most photographed spots but the poor thing has recently lost a couple of branches, so it’s not quite as picture perfect as it once was (and as you can see in my photos).

Personally, I wouldn’t go out of your way just to see it anymore but if you’re already in Wanaka, it’s an easy stop. It definitely looks its best in the early morning with soft light and still water creating those dreamy reflections.
