Gare do Oriente ("Lisbon Oriente Station") is Lisbon's main intermodal / multi-modal transport hub (train, metro and bus), located in the neighborhood of Parque das Nações, right in front of the Vasco da Gama shopping mall. It was one of Portugal's main deliveries for the Expo 98 world fair and a masterpiece of Santiago Calatrava's architecture, building on his work in Spain and worldwide. The station was inaugurated on May 19th, 1998.

If you came to explore Lisbon's most modern part, you'll probably pass through this remarkable infrastructure!
