Jardim do Torel ("Torel Garden") is located in the Santo António neighborhood, in downtown Lisbon, overlooking Avenida da Liberdade ("Liberty Avenue"). It can be accessed through Ascensor / Elevador do Lavra ("Lavra Funicular"), by car or by foot, going all the way up Calçada do Lavra, a very steep street.

Besides being a great viewpoint, Jardim do Torel hides an unexpected swimming pool that serves as an urban beach during the Summer! This is a very picturesque and unique place in the city, regardless of the season.

This is quite an underrated place to visit while in Lisbon and not too many people know about its existence.
