The Hidden Waterways of Bengal: A 2-Day Tale through Barishal & Swarupkathi š§š©
Under the gentle glow of the night, we set sail from Dhaka towards Barishal. The cool breeze, starry sky, and rhythmic waves made the journey magical.
At dawn, we reached Madhabpasha Dighiāan ancient pond surrounded by greenery, whispering tales of the past. Next, the majestic Guthia Mosque left us spellbound. In Chakhar village, we felt history in the air at the birthplace of Sher-e-Bangla A.K. Fazlul Huq. By evening, the golden hues of the Sandhya River and the hilsa fishing scene touched our hearts. Some stayed in cozy homestays, enjoying local food and warmth.
Day two began at the floating Payara Market, where boats danced on water with goods. We explored guava orchards, salt farms, cricket bat villages, puffed rice factories, bamboo artisans, and flower nurseries. A village lunch under open skies added joy.
That night, we sailed backāhearts full of stories and unforgettable moments.
