Step into a landscape of ancient, gnarled oak trees and serene pastures at Kummelön, one of our most beloved nature reserves. You can follow two easy, well-marked trails, a shorter 0.5 km loop or a longer 1.4 km path, that meander through the beautiful scenery with views over Lake Vänern. It's a perfect spot for a family picnic, with plenty of tables and even a small public cottage with a fireplace. In the spring, the ground is carpeted with blue and white anemones, and the air is filled with birdsong, making it an especially magical time to visit.
