Schloss Werningerode stands among the Harz Mountains in Germany for over 800 years as a fortress and palace, and is now one of the most frequently visited castles in Saxony-Anhalt. Most recently reconstructed to a Neo-Romantic style in 1893, it features a chapel that was built according to plans from the Vienna architect Friedrich von Schmidt. It emanates an atmosphere perfect for visitors who want to look out over the German countryside from its turrets, or take in the historical nature of this iconic structure.
