The historical Schlenkerla Rauchbierbrauerei is located in the heart of Bamberg's old town, and has been a source of Bamberg's specialty, Aecht Schlenkerla Rauchbier, since its first mention in 1405 as the "Haus zum blauen Löwen". Located at the feet of the grand Dom, the brewery is now in its sixth generation of direct family management and still maintains the traditional process of serving the beer from oak barrels.
