Tempelhofer Feld, located in Berlin is a public urban park and historic military parade ground. This vast space covers over 355 hectares of the former Tempelhof Airport making it the world’s largest inner-city park. Tempelhofer Feld opened up to the public in May 2010 and since then has been popular for various activities such as kite-surfing, barbecuing, skateboarding, jogging, and cycling. One can also find the oldest poplar tree known in Berlin, which stood since the time of King Frederick the Great. With its interesting history combined with fun activities, Tempelhofer Feld is definitely worth a visit!
