The Herrenchiemsee New Palace is a royal complex with an awe-inspiring architectural design built on the largest island in the Chiemsee lake, Germany. Built by King Ludwig II of Bavaria in 1878, the New Palace is based on the model of the Palace of Versailles with elegant baroque features including gardens filled with fountains and statues. Guests can spend a day admiring the luxurious frescoed ceiling of the great Hall of Mirrors as well as the hundreds of intricately designed details placed throughout the palace's 70 magnificent rooms. A visit to Herrenchiemsee New Palace is sure to be a unique and highly enjoyable experience for all who come to see it.
