The Hornisgrinde is the highest peak in the Northern Black Forest in Germany, standing at 1,164 meters above sea level. It has a long history of use by military forces, but today it is open to visitors and tourists who come to experience its incredible landscapes and stunning views. A variety of winter sports such as alpine and cross-country skiing can be enjoyed while on the mountain, and the observation tower provides spectacular views from the summit. Many protected areas of raised bog and Karwand stretches can also be explored, making it an interesting and exciting destination; perfect for explorers of all ages.
