Alatsee, located in the Ostallgäu region of Bavaria, Germany, is a mysterious meromictic lake with a long and intriguing history. It is said to have held "Hitler's gold" for many years, with countless treasure hunters plunging its depths in search of its secrets. Its surface elevation is 868.0 meters and its surface area is 12 hectares. What makes it so fascinating is the presence of "blood cloud," a dense concentration of aquatic microorganisms found only in the lake that turns the water red - hence its name. Despite this, it still remains a popular destination for adventurers and recreational divers alike, providing an opportunity to experience the unique beauty of the lake and its surroundings.
