Lechfall is an amazing man-made waterfall in Fussen, a small town in Germany's Bavaria region. It spews from a dam ladder on the Lech River, made in the 18th century for flood control. The river itself holds a unique color that makes it all the more beautiful. Visitors can get up close for a better view of the falls by strolling over a footbridge nearby. Taking time to appreciate its natural grandeur, travellers often spend about 20 minutes soaking up its ambience and marveling at its mightiness. Besides getting a closer look at the falls, guests can also admire the view of the gorge downstream. Whether it be antiquity or modern times, Lechfall has had a long history of being used to benefit its surroundings.
