This beautiful waterfall is on the way to Milford sounds and only a ~3 minute walk from the roadside!!
Introducing Falls Creek Waterfall aka Christie Falls
Enjoy yet another free NZ attraction! Stunning after rain, however the track can get slippery.
The carpark is on the side of the road as you're heading away from Milford Sounds and may feature some kia birds! Please note, you may also encounter some typical sandflies here too.
Ignore the 2 hours sign, this waterfall is just a stone throw away from the carpark.
Reviews:
'10 minute hike (yes, the sign says 2 hours, but that's to the bush edge, not the waterfall. The waterfall that's visible from the road is called Christie Falls, it's another one, and most of the reviews here got that wrong. And the actual Falls Creek Waterfall is amazing.' - Franscisjek, Google
'Great little pit stop on the way to Milford Sound. Crystal clear pool where the waterfall drops and refreshing water.' -Sumukh, Google
'Well worth a stop - especially if it’s been raining as the falls are spectacular! We visited on a cold winters day and the stop was worth the cold noses! They have made it really easy to access with a separate walking bridge' - Victoria, Google
