A lovely 5.5km track for a relaxed walk, ideal with little ones and pets! 🌳

• Mostly flat with a few steps (not suitable for wheelchairs).

• Two majestic Kauri trees and a small waterfall are highlights.

• Family and pet-friendly – a perfect spot for young kids and dogs!

• Ideal for picnics and relaxed strolls.

• It’s not a loop – you’ll need to double back to return to the car park.

• Three exits lead to public streets.

'Spragg Bush Walk is a 5.5km 🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️ bush track located between Scenic Drive and Turanga Road in the Waitākere Ranges near Auckland, featuring some giant Kauri and Rimu trees 🌳 The track has only recently reopened after boardwalks were put in to protect the Kauri from dieback. There's a picnic area 🧺 a historic cemetery, and a small stream 🌊 along the way. We didn't walk that far because it was a bit steep and the fallen leaves 🍁🍂 were wet and quite slippery.
