From a reviewer:
'One of the best hikes in Northland. Parking at end of beach were the track starts, sign by stlye. Toilet is at entrance other end of beach, beware. Walk up the road which looks like a driveway. Take small track beside fence line. Signage bit hard to see. This walk requires a good level of fitness. The track has recently been upgraded good gravel path, lots and lots of stairs. Not for the faint hearted. Before the major climb out to the trig two beautiful beaches to rest up or have a swim. A this point about a third there. Amazing views, great photo opportunities. On return take the loop track for more amazing views.'
