This is an isolated spot is only accessed by boat/kayak at the edge of Kawhia Harbour!

Te Maika is a tiny, off-the-beaten-path coastal settlement that feels worlds away from anywhere. There's caves, cool arches and possibly natural beach hot springs! We haven't been here to explore yet but gathered lots of info from the links below. Let us know if you go! We'd love to share more :)
