Rent out your own 'tropical' private island!!!

Slipper Island (Maori: Whakahau) is located 3 kilometres to the east of the Coromandel Peninsular and 8 kilometres southeast of the town of Pauanui. The island is 224 hectares, 95% of which makes up Slipper Island Resort meaning you basically can get the whole island to yourself! The western and southern sides of the island have STUNNING white sandy beaches while the northern and eastern parts feature rocky cliffs and dramatic volcanic rock formations.

We stayed here a few years ago, had the whole resort (95%) of the island to ourselves! It was an unreal experience!! The island really feels like you're on a tropical island!!

Fun fact: Ciska ate her first kina here! Jumped off the wharf and grabbed a bunch for the crew, then went to shore and cracked them open. Did she like it? her response: 'it was interesting'..
