How perfect does this Hot Spring look?!?!

Maruia Hot Springs is nestled in the stunning Southern Alps between Westport on the West Coast and Hanmer Springs closer to the East Coast (Fun fact - I always thought it was Hamner springs, not Hanmer).

Maruia Hot Springs has indoor & outdoor natural pools. You can camp, glamp, or treat yourself to a luxury room - all overnight guests get 24-hour pool access. That means midnight soaking under the stars is absolutely on the cards. There's also a restaurant on-site and a cosy indoor lounge to chill out in between dips.

OPENING HOURS (Mid 2025)

We’re open 5 days a week from Thursday 2 pm to Tuesday 11 am. We’re back to 7 days from June 26th to Monday, July 17th, for the school holidays.  Reception hours are from 8 am to 9 pm when the resort is open.

• We had quite an entertaining time reading all of the views which were either 5 stars or 1-2 stars. Complaints about dirtiness and staff were the main downsides (as well as being overpriced), whilst the good reviews were amazing! - Best hot spring in NZ etc etc.. so I think it comes down to your own expectations, and the day that you go.
