The Routeburn Track is a stunning hiking trail located in Mount Aspiring National Park and Fiordland National Park. It offers breathtaking views of mountains, valleys, and alpine landscapes. The track can be completed in 2-4 days, with huts and campsites available for overnight stays. During the Great Walks season (15 November - 30 April), bookings are required for accommodations. Outside this season, the track is more challenging and suitable for experienced hikers. The Routeburn Falls Hut, situated close to a majestic waterfall, provides a cozy resting spot for weary trekkers.

Directions:

'From the carpark follow the well-maintained Great Walk – Routeburn track for 3-3.5 hours. Almost all the way to the waterfall is an uphill walk. In a 1.5 hour or two you will reach Routeburn Flats. In good weather, it's a great place for lunch. From here the real climb starts - follow the main track for an hour or an hour and a half until you reach the Routeburn Hut. The waterfall is found near the hut - follow a 5-minutes side track. - waterfalls.co.nz
