This whole walk is great, we came with a few friends and their kids who all loved it!

Nihotupu falls and dam (located in Waitakere Ranges Regional Park) is a great half day out. Plenty of falls and views along the way. Set aside around 3hrs return. Pack a picnic as there's plenty of spots to relax along the way, the walk is mainly flat

• The track leads to the Upper Nihotupu Reservoir, with cool swimming spots on the way and multiple waterfalls.

• approx 30 mins to get to Nihotupu Falls

• Plan for approx. 2-3hrs to explore this area

• Stroller & Dog (on leash) friendly.
