Glass walls, starlit skies, and not a neighbour in sight.
Tucked into a quiet bush-covered hillside above the Greta Valley, this secluded eco-retreat lets you completely switch off from the world—literally. Korimako PurePod is a one-of-a-kind glass cabin built for two, designed to immerse you in birdsong, bush, and endless sky.
You’ll walk about 10 minutes through regenerating native forest to reach the pod, which sits entirely on its own with sweeping views out to Motunau Island. Inside, it’s all comfort—plush king bed, a small but well-equipped kitchen, hot shower, flush toilet, and solar lighting. There’s no Wi-Fi, no plugs, and no distractions—just a telescope, a deck with chairs, and time.
Pack light and use a backpack for the walk in
Bring warm layers—nights can get chilly even in summer
Stargazing from bed is next-level incredible
Book two nights if you can—you’ll want more time
Reviews
“We spent two nights at the Korimako Purepod and thought it was wonderful. One of the most beautiful places in all of New Zealand. The landscape is so picturesque that you don't really believe you're there. It's so quiet that you can hear the ocean lapping in the distance. The drive to the pod is quite exciting but well described. They catered to our every need. The farmer's family are also very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed the farm tour with them and got to know the landscape better. All of the food was prepared by Fiona and was very varied and easy to prepare." - Elisabeth, Google
