Tucked into a secluded corner of Banks Peninsula, this off-grid escape offers something rare—your very own pod retreat, complete with a wood-fired hot tub and sweeping harbour views.

Each site has two small pods: one for sleeping, the other for changing and gear storage. You’ll also have a BBQ, compost loo, eco-shower, fire pit, and a hot tub all to yourself. The experience is private, peaceful, and surrounded by native bush and farmland overlooking the stunning French Farm Bay.

The pods are fully off-grid with solar lighting and spring-fed water. You can hike in (15–30 mins), get a ride up in a 4WD, or drive if your vehicle can handle it.

"Great and accommodating hosts, you can contact them via sms should you need anything. 4G reception available however not strong. They’ll provide some home made crackers or cake upon arrival. You can either take a 20-30min walk up to the pod or go with the host in his quad when he takes your luggage. The walk up is amazing with nice views. Wear appropriate footwear! A lot of uneven ground and narrow paths. If your unable to ascend, I recommend the walk down when you check out. The pods use solar and if your staying in the winter months or have clouds, the power will only last a few short hours. USB ports are available to charge your devices however this may not last long. Gas burner and kettle is available. Hot tub is amazing and will stay warm even for a quick dip in the morning. This is pretty much off grid, so you really need to be self sufficient. Bring card games, portable led lighting, portable charger if you need, pre packed food & drinks. We bought pre-made food. The pods kept us warm overnight in mid May. We wore thermals and had no issues with the cold. Toilet is a biodegradable compost type. One night max two is more than enough to enjoy this spectacular scenery / accommodation."
