One of Iceland's most iconic peaks, Kirkjufell is a 463m high hill in Iceland's Snæfellsnes peninsula, near Grundarfjörður. It's known as the most photographed mountain in the country and was featured in the famous series, Game of Thrones. Despite not being a volcano, Kirkjufell is a nunatak that stood above glaciers during the Ice Age.
